massage, anyone?
With the help of some terrific friends (thanks, everyone!), we've moved about half of our belongings (including lots of the annoying and heavy stuff, like books) into our new apartment. It's nice to have the move underway, but my back has seen better days.
Mazel tov on starting the move! When will you start *living* in your new place?
Depending on how serious you are about that subject line, I can get you Chaiya's contact info...
I really hate moving. I am sympathetic, not that it helps. (Last move we used cheap local professional movers. Yeay professional movers, saves on the back. Those Comic Book boxes are heavy and a b**** to move.)
Rachel - Hopefully next week. We'd like to get the rest of the stuff over there on Sunday. Wanna help?
Ari B. - Nah, I already have her email address, actually, and I can't afford her anyway.
LW - Cheap moving help is good, but gneerally they don't have high tolerance for helping you disassemble IKEA furniture, or loading up the truck with random individual items. And they don't bring a cute nine-month-old baby to play on your futon mattress while her parents help out.
My MIL tried to convince us to get movers for Round Two on Sunday, but the truth is that if we needed them at any time it would have been for the first part last week, with the boxes of books and the slabs of furniture. This Sunday consists mostly of breakable kitchenware (which we would rather move ourselves carefully anyway) and only a couple of big items (though they are monsters - television and mattress being the worst).
So, belatedly looking through blogs... Fraid I'm a bit far away to oblige. Sorry! ;-)
Grats too.
