chabad katrina blog
Does anyone know whether this is legitimate? If so, it is shaping up to be a good resources for at least once segment of the displaced New Orleans community and their loved ones.
Update: I thought it was clear from the fact that there were already comments here stating that the site is legit, but just to make it perfectly obvious - Yes. This is a credible diary/blog/information page.
based on what i read yesterday at chabadneworleans it seems similar. it's authenticity, however, that I don't know. hope this helps someone.
(i've recently heard from someone I know who lived in new orleans, his family is safe, b"H)
I can vouch for chabadneworleans.com's authenticity, and it seems that the blog is being updated with information from their website's diary. Here are some news articles about them:

http://www.nola.com/newslogs/tporleans/index.ssf?/mtlogs/nola_tporleans/archives/2005_09.html (all the way down the page, titled "Shalom Y'all")

It looks legitimate. A link to http://www.jewishhurricanerelief.com/ was sent over my local Chabad House's email list. It contains the blog entries under the diary link (the site was up before, but seems to crash sometimes with an MS SQL Server error, which, interestingly enough, has B"H in the corner).
It's impressive that even with the Chabad House destroyed, they're continuing to serve their community. A real kiddush Hashem!
Er...yes, it seems to be quite legitimate, based on the fact that there are people we know on the list. Check the first post and then check the "List of NO People I have heard from -- Thursday Sep 1 11:45PM," seven and eight lines up from the bottom. I was a little worried, actually.
