quality (and quantity)
Yesterday we received our assignments for the summer rotation at my clerkship. The good news: we don't need to borrow a car from my in-laws and find a second parking spot. The better news: Julian and I will get to carpool together! Yay! - more time with my husband!
Now commence the battles over car windows and radio stations.
"battles over car windows and radio stations"
with an Arack drinker, boy you keg stand girls are brave.
What's to fight? You get to choose on odd numbered dates, he gets even. (In a given year there are just slightly more odd days, of course, but don't remind him of that.)
Good call on odd vs. even, Miriam. Given that I have a meeting downtown on May 2 (even), Memorial Day is May 30 (even), and Independence Day is of course July 4 (even), odd workdays actually edge out even workdays for my four-month rotation by a margin of five.
Now if only Julian weren't reading this in the first place...
"Driver's choice" works really well when I'm driving kids to school. . . maybe not so helpful if Julian does the driving?
When ALL of us are in the car, my husband usually drives, but I override anyway - too much junk (I mean news) on the radio that precocious young children just don't need to be privy too.
Hmmm....I like the driver's choice idea, since I'll be driving almost every day. I get at least 10 minutes in the car by myself in each direction, though (I will be working farther west), so I'm up for some compromise.
